If you plan to visit Seabrook on the Washington Coast carving out a few extra hours to visit the Hoh Rainforest. is highly recommended. To access the Hoh Rainforest hikes you do need to have an Olympic National Park Pass that is $30 per day or $60 per year.
MAKE SURE TO VISIT THE Hall of Moss
At the very least you need to take a walk to the Hall of Moss near the visitor center which is on a .08 mile walk. It is way too beautiful to miss out on.
Hall of Mosses Trail (The "Must-Do")
Length: 0.8 mile loop
Difficulty: Easy
Vibe: This is the iconic trail you see in photos. It takes you through an old-growth forest where Bigleaf Maples are draped in massive curtains of club moss. It’s a very high-reward hike for very little effort.
MAKE SURE TO VISIT THE Hall of Moss
The Hoh Rain Forest is famous for being one of the quietest and greenest places in the world. Since all the main trails start from the Hoh Rain Forest Visitor Center, you can easily knock out the shorter ones back-to-back.
Spruce Nature Trail
Length: 1.2 mile loop
Difficulty: Easy
Vibe: This trail offers more variety than the Hall of Mosses. It weaves through both old and new-growth forest and takes you right to the banks of the Hoh River, which has a distinct milky-blue color from "glacial flour." It’s often less crowded than the Hall of Mosses.
Hoh River Trail (The "Choose Your Adventure")

Pro-Tip

During peak summer months, the Hoh Rain Forest can have a wait time of up to 2 hours just to get past the entrance station. We recommend leaving Seabrook by 7:00 AM if you want to beat the crowds in the busy season.
If you’re short on time, the Quinault Rain Forest is much closer to Seabrook (about 45 minutes away) and offers a very similar mossy aesthetic. However, the Hoh is the "big one" with the famous Hall of Mosses No matter, which beautiful trees you want to hangout with make sure to keep your eyes open for bald eagles along the way!
