Seabrook Rainy Day Guide

Rain in Seabrook isn't a reason to stay inside and it’s just a simple mood shift. The Washington coast looks arguably its best in 50 shades of gray. Put on your rain boots, grab a good rain jacket, and follow this guide to a perfect drizzly day.

Hit the Trails (Under the Canopy)

The best part about Seabrook’s trail system is the heavy tree cover. Head into the Gnome Trail or the Mike-O-Guy Trail. The spruce and cedar trees act as a natural umbrella, and the forest smells incredible when it’s damp.

Go Beachcombing

Don't let the puddles stop you. Rainy days are actually the best for finding treasures. Wet sand makes agates, sea glass, and shells "pop" with a shine that you just don't see when they're dry and dusty.

Go For A Rainy Day Bike Ride

Don't let the rain stop you from pedaling around Seabrook. With the proper rain gear rainy day bike rides are a lot of fun. Stop by Basecamp Board and Bike and rent a bike for the day!

Make Candles at Lorraine’s Candle Studio

When you’re ready to dry off, head to Lorraine’s Candle Studio. This is the ultimate rainy-day pivot. You can choose your own vessel and mix custom scents to create a candle that smells like "Pacific Mist" or "Cedarwood." Your candle takes about 90 minutes to cure, which is the perfect excuse to move on to the next few steps on this list.

Hit The Arcade

Located right in the Town Center, The Arcade is a neon-lit sanctuary from the gray skies. Whether you’re into vintage pinball or modern games, it’s the best place to burn off some competitive energy while staying 100% dry.

Explore the Shops

Seabrook’s Town Center is incredibly walkable. Spend an hour ducking in and out of the storefronts. Make sure to stop by Basecamp and look at all the new threads and boards! Also, you can pick up some puzzles and boards games later at Brooklets Toys.

Eat All the Tacos at Koko’s!

Cap off your day at Koko’s Restaurant & Tequila Bar. There is no better cure for a chill than their "Birria Tacos" and a spicy margarita. The vibe is vibrant, the food is authentic, and it’ll make you forget it’s 50°F outside.

We hope you enjoy your time on the Washington Coast!
